Mardi's parents have decided that since we all live so close to each other that once a month we are going to have Family Day. 
So today was the first family day. We surprised all the kids and went on the Front Runner to Ogden to see the Train Museum and then back to Layton to have lunch at one of the greatest restaurants ever called "Doug and Emmy's". It was so wonderful. It rained all day which actually turned out to be alright because we were mostly inside a building or in a train. Everyone really enjoyed it even the kids. 
It was so fun to have all of us together for the day.

They got to play in old trains. 
Even Uncle Lo, Aunt Liz, and Grandpa got in on the fun.

Sounds like a FANTASTIC time and a great tradition. I really want to take a train instead of an airplane our next trip. I think it would just be so much more fun!
