This week has started off to be exciting and different. Dugway is known for its power outages but they can get power back on in a few hours except for when our power lines are being burned. So that is were are fun day begins yesterday. At about 4 we lose power so we go outside and like usual we look over to the mountains and see a huge black cloud of smoke. So I immediately call Terry and he said that the pass is on fire. Dugway is so remote that there are only two roads that let you in and out. One road is called Skull Valley and that is church farms and that is 35 miles North and leads you onto I-80. The other way is through Johnson's Pass and is the shortest way into town and of course the one that is on fire. You can't really tell in the last picture but the road is through the middle of the fire. So the only way into town to the closest doctor, hospital or a grocery store with meat is 45 minutes through the now closed pass. So we are pretty much base bound unless we really need to go into town and we have to go the really long way. We are running off of emergency generators until they can figure something out for the power. So exciting times in Dugway. So far no one has had to evacuate their homes like in Draper. Scary times right now.

That is scary! Hope you guys do ok. We'll pray for some rain.
Talk about excitement. I hope it doesn't prove to be too horrible. If so, you'll just have to really bring that pizza to our Back to the Future marathon.
